Three Generations of HVAC
Since 1960, Siggs Air Conditioning has been family-owned and operated in Fort Myers. What started with one generation’s work ethic and commitment to doing the job right, has continued into a third-generation company, focused on honest recommendations, dependable workmanship, and long-term relationships with the families and builders we serve.
Siggs Air Conditioning has never been just a logo on a truck. It is a family legacy built over decades in Southwest Florida, passed from one generation to the next with the same basic goal: take care of people, do quality work, and stand behind it. Today, that legacy continues under Kenny and Kirsten Siggs, while still honoring the foundation laid by the generations before them.
Starting the Legacy:
Generation #1
Wilfred Cameron “W.C.” and Dorothy "Dottie" Siggs founded Siggs Air Conditioning in 1960. Married in 1947, both served their parts in World War II, WC as an airman bravely fighting for freedom and Dottie as a journalist interviewing the likes Eleanor Roosevelt. With five kids in tow, the duo came to SWFL in the '50s and started a family business in Fort Myers, Siggs Air Conditioning, in 1960. Working with local builders like Michigan Homes on communities including Tanglewood, helping establish the company’s early roots in residential new construction, service, and installations.
Building the Legacy:
Generation #2
Growing up in SWFL, Richard had a knack for swimming, which took him on an All-American Swimming & Water Polo scholarship to the University of Kentucky, where he met Louisville-native Sharon. In 1981, the couple took over the business and carried the family tradition forward. Under their leadership, Siggs remained a trusted local HVAC company serving Southwest Florida homeowners and builders, while keeping the business family-owned and community-rooted.
Continuing the Legacy:
Generation #3
Amidst the retirement of gen#2, and after careers in physical therapy, business leadership, and construction, Kenny and his physical-therapist-turned-AC-guru wife Kirsten decided to keep the business in the family. In 2024, gen#3 took over as the next family owners / operators. Having grown up in the business, and bringing years of general contractor and homebuilder experience, Kenny has a unique perspective to guide the company's next chapter. With a Doctorate in Physical Therapy and dedication to making people feel better, Kirsten has a gift to guide both internal and customer interactions. That builder-side and client-team-focused perspective helps shape how Siggs AC moves forward.
